How to Use

Inputs can be input in multiple formats:

Method Example Entry Value
feet. 5. 5'
ff-in-ss 5 4 8 5'-4-1/2"
ff-in-fraction 5 4 1/2 5'-4-1/2"
in 5 5"
decimal inches 5.5 5-1/2"
in-ss 5 8 5-1/2"
in-fraction 5 1/2 5-1/2"
in-ss 0 8 8/16"
in - fraction ss 0 1/2 8/16"
decimal ss 0.5 8/16"
fraction ss 1/2 8/16"

Note that a space must be used between 'ff' and 'in' and 'in' and 'ss'. "5 4 8" has a space between 5 and 4 and a space between 4 and 8 in the example above.

For "Leave blank for Nominal" entries, simply leave blank if you want to use nominal heels. If blank, this will be automatically filled with the nominal heel upon calculation. To input a specific heel, just enter a heel. Selecting any other field will automatically reset the heel to blank for a new nominal heel to be calculated. Note, it's best to enter this value last if you want to input a heel other than nominal.

Seat cuts default to 3.5" but can be changed by inputing a seat cut value.

Single values like '5', '5.5' are treated as inches. Feets must be in '.' notation or ff-in-ss or ff-in-fraction notation. The same is true of sixteenths. They must be in in-ss or in-fraction format

On desktops or laptops, for input values that are not drop downs, hitting the 'Enter/Return' key will also initiate calculations.

Fields that are to be calculated are read-only but can be copied when they've been calculated if need be.
